Continuing Search for missing walker

The team continued the search along with 6 other rescue teams and 12 search dogs. There were about 97 Mountain Rescue Team members involved. However on Monday 25thOctober a farmer contacted police to say he had discovered a body in the Coverhead area late that morning. Officers attended a short time later, along with mountain rescue and the body was recovered. Although formal identification has not been confirmed at this stage, officers believe the body to be that of David McCartney. Mr McCartney's family have been informed of this news and are currently being supported.
