Family lost Ilkley Moor

The team was called out by North Yorkshire Police requesting assistance with a family of five who were lost on Ilkley Moor. The team used "Phone Find" to confirm their location as just north of the Trig point at SE11435 45386. The location was on the Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team side of the hill but UWFRA could get there first so a callout was made to UWFRA and CVSRT were informed. Both teams deployed with UWFRA members and spare headtorches reaching both parties (the initial group had unwisely separated into two groups) and commenced the walkout. With the family cold, but uninjured and progressing well the CVSRT vehicles stood down whilst members from both teams escorted the family back to their car.
