The Team was called to assist a man who was walking with his dog, on Timble Moor. The man sustained an ankle injury and couldn't walk further. The team carried a stretcher and medical supplies to his position, warmed him and his dog in a portable shelter. A team medic made an assessment of his injury and the gentleman was carried by stretcher off the Moor. The deep, slushy snow made progress quite hard but a large, fit, team made short work of a long distance carry with a combination of lifting and sledging the stretcher. His dog made effortless progress through the deep snow and was a delight to look after! We arrived at the road after dark and here he was assessed by the ambulance paramedics.
