The team was called by North Yorkshire Police to come to the aid of a lone female walker who had become exhausted and was close to hypothermia whilst on a walk on the trails near to Bolton Abbey. With darkness ensuing and the temperature due to drop to well below zero a local team was mobilised to meet the lady on the track. Luckily phone contact was made and the team were able to drive directly to our walker and escort her from the fell. The Yorkshire ambulance service met the team at Barden bridge where they made sure the lady was fit & well enough to travel home. Once given the all clear the lady travelled to our base where she was warmed up and given a hot drink before she left for home.
