The team was called out today to assist a local male who had slipped in the snow and sustained a lower leg injury whilst out running on the river bank near to Grassington. The casualty was treated at the scene by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS blackout window drape). Suspecting a break, pain relief was administered and the leg splinted before UWFRA carried him to the waiting road ambulance.
