About me and my 3 Lake Swims...

What Am I Doing?

3 x Open Water Swims;

500m in Lake Coniston on Sunday 30th May, 500m in Derwent Water on Sunday 20th June, 1 mile in Ullswater on Sunday 18th July

Why I don't want to do them?!?!

Well, I've only trained on and off for less than a month!

I'm scared of open water

and petrified of fish!!!

And so, why am I doing them?!?!

To prove to myself that I can!

To get over my ridiculous fear of fish

but, more importantly than that to raise money for the fantastic organisation that is Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue.

At the end of last year, I sadly lost a great friend whose hobbies very much included pot-holing, climbing and well, generally being in the great outdoors with his family and friends.

He himself did an awful lot to fund raise for and to support Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue and in his memory I want to carry on his work.

I know his sons will keep doing their bit, so I want to support them too.

Any one that lives in or visits the caves and fells around Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale may one day need assistance and it's the wonderful volunteers at U.W.F.R.A that do it!

Keep up the good work guys..and please help support this completely donation based charity!!!

Rest In Peace Peter Jackson. Love always to your wonderful family who love and miss you very much x x x
